The Baptismal Font in the left of the church Vestibule was originally designed by Father Walworth. The base is of pure white carerra marble and the upper covering is pewter. The basin is made of silver. While the first baptism was held on December 8, 1869, it was not formally dedicated until July 2, 1870 by Bishop Wadhams, a former assistant of this parish.
