pilgrimages, especially to Compostella in Spain)
- SIMON THE ZEALOT (with saw, instrument of his martyrdom in
Persia)

- JUDE OR THADDEUS (with halberd, instrument of his martyrdom in
Persia along with Simon the Zealot)
- THOMAS (with finger upraised to put in the nail prints, and
with a carpenter's square, his symbol, deriving from a legend that when in India, King
Gondophorus commissioned Thomas to build a magnificent palace. Thomas spent the money for
the poor, which enraged the king until Gondophorus' dead brother appeared to him in a
vision to tell him that his palace was built and awaited him in heaven)
